2016 Theme: Our Troops Bring Home Paradise -
"When American servicemen returned home from World War II, they brought with them stories and souvenirs from the South Pacific. James Michener won the 1948 Pulitzer Prize for his collection of short stories, Tales of the South Pacific, which in turn was the basis for South Pacific, the 1949 musical by Rodgers and Hammerstein, also a Pulitzer Prize winner. All of this helped fuel the Polynesian Pop or Tiki Culture in the U.S."
In honor of this time in history we'll have a Polynesian show with Kalama Polynesian Dancers! Complete with fire/fire knife dancers, elaborate traditional costumes and Hula and Haka lessons! We'll be serving up some beautiful tropical drinks along with a hot, hot Limbo contest and more!
Tickets for the Summer 1940's WWII Era Ball at the Boulder Airport are now LIVE! And boy do we have some big surprises for you this year! Get ready for a visit by the B25 Bomber, the TBM Avenger (finally!) and a big car show presented by Pinups for Charity with a very special celebrity guest TBA!

"Our experiences are a bigger part of ourselves than our material goods. You can really like your material stuff. You can even think that part of your identity is connected to those things, but nonetheless they remain separate from you. In contrast, your experiences really are part of you. We are the sum total of our experiences."
